Sales Coordinator

Product development firm in Mounds View, Minnesota is seeking candidates to become our Technical Engineering Sales Coordinator. We develop new products for our Customers all around the United States. Projects range from medical devices and kitchen gadgets to performance snowmobile accessories and off road equipment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Implement Sales activities and strategies to maintain and expand current Customer base through prospecting, data mining, ,mailings, etc..
• Participate in strategic planning activities regarding capital equipment expenditures, software purchases and adding additional services.
• Meet with new and current customers to create detailed design specifications for the preparation of project cost estimates.
• Develop and coordinate marketing initiatives including mailings, advertising, trade shows and open houses.
• Perform “cold calling” to establish new accounts
• Prepare Initiate project cost estimates and present these to new and existing Customers
• Prepare and maintain the Marketing and Sales budgets.
• Assist in the creation of overall marketing and sales strategies.
• Create presentation materials including Brochures, Flyers, Power Point presentations, business letters, etc…
• Identify new market opportunities and related penetration strategies
• Work with other management personnel to ensure staffing levels and expertise match the requirements created by the successful implementation of the Sales and Marketing plan.
• Coordinate the activities of outside sales representatives and increase the use of same.
• Maintain the current ACT! database
• Keep confidential any and all product development, marketing and/or financial activities or plans of Solid Design Solutions, Inc. and/or it’s current, past or potential customers
• Perform and assist in planning and scheduling activities to ensure that project milestone dates are met
• Work with Clients to resolve billing, delivery, quality and other issues
• Assist in the maintenance and development of the company Web-site and promotional literature.
• Set up and coordinate meetings for CEO with potential clients
• Coordinate the activities of cleric support staff to prospect for potential Clients, conduct mailing campaigns and create related call back scheduling

Qualifications:

• Highly organized, detail oriented, able to work effectively both independently and in teams
• Understanding of Technical Design Engineering processes
• Superior interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
• Background in Product Deveopment sales a must

 

Inventor/Pro Engineer/SolidWorks Senior Designer Positions

Product development firm in Mounds View, Minnesota is seeking candidates to become our new Inventor/Pro Engineer/SolidWorks Senior Designers . We develop new products for our Customers all around the United States. Projects range from medical devices and kitchen gadgets to performance snowmobile accessories and off road equipment. These positions require people who can manage a large amount of detailed information while maintaining schedules and cost goals of multiple projects.

 

Overall Position Description:

Coordinate or perform a wide range of product development activities in a professional, cost effective and expeditious manner.  Emphasis will be on a systems engineering approach.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop conceptual design approaches to met requirements as defined in the Design Specification
• Create 3D CAD solid models and engineering drawings of new products as directed by project manager and, or Client
• Support activities of Project Managers and Design Engineers within SDS as  required
• Create and maintain 3D solid models, bill of material data, engineering drawings and product cost models
• Receive, machine and assemble parts as required for new product development
• Meet with new and current Customers to create detailed design specifications, schedules and budgets
• Design parts and assemblies with the chosen manufacturing processes in mind
• Select materials based on performance requirements as outlined within the created Design Specification
• Coordinate the activities of internal and external personnel as well as suppliers to complete design, prototyping and production start up related activities
• Participate in Trade shows, training and business solicitation activities as requested by the Organization
• Train other Solid Design Solutions, Inc. employees as well as external personnel as requested by the Organization
• Other duties as may be required to support the business activities of Solid Design Solutions, Inc. 
• Represent Solid Design Solutions, Inc. in a professional manner in all dealings related to the company
• Keep confidential any and all product development, marketing and/or financial activities or plans of Solid Design Solutions, Inc.
• Inspect 3D solid models created by other designers to ensure proper design methods are being used to minimize sink, texturing blemishes and other imperfections on plastic injection molded parts

Qualifications:

• 2 Year Vocational Degree
• 4 years working with CAD in a product support role
• Fluency in multiple Solid Modeling CAD packages. SolidWorks, ProE, Inventor or  SDRC-Ideas
• Superior interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient with the use of Excel, Word and Microsoft Project softwares
• Thorough understanding of various manufacturing and production processes
• Highly organized, detail oriented, able to work effectively both independently and in teams
• Experience with ISO 9001, Quality Systems
• Other certifications

 

SolidWorks/Pro Engineer Senior Design Engineer Positions
