Mobility Assist Device
Product is used in medical facilities for transferring and transporting bariatric patients who have limited mobility. SDS was enlisted to increase the device capacity and incorporate adjustable legs without infringing on existing patents. The resulting design yielded a 400 pound capacity (with 1½ times safety factor) unit with adjustable legs and unique design. Product design, motion analysis and FEA were all performed utilizing SolidWorks.
