A child with developmental disabilities required a special interface to use a computer for learning and recreation. Solid Design Solutions, Inc. was asked to design a method for mounting a Panasonic Toughbook PC onto an ergonomic arm that would be transferable from location to location. A rear-mounted speaker needed to be accommodated into the design to avoid muffling the sounds coming from the PC. The solution provided by Solid Design Solutions, Inc. allowed the PC, Velcro attached to an interface bracket, to be mounted and removed from different arms using a simple clamping handle.
